Marnie Darren

Marketing and Communications Consultant

Lives in New South Wales, Australia

May 21, 2018

The smile in Marnie's photo is very telling of her personality, it's super warm.  When I first met Marnie, she was the Head of TBWA Luxury Arts in New York.  I loved her sophisticated beauty and was charmed by her humble confidence.  She's a fun carefree spirit who likes to make others feel good.  I love being in her company.

Marnie has spent over 20 years in advertising and marketing, with a focus on the luxury sector.  Her collaborative business style has taken her to more than 10 countries, giving her an appreciation of how to build business and brands around the world.

Marnie has been the account lead on some of the worlds biggest brands, across a range of categories including fashion, beauty, automotive, telecommunications, financial services, FMCG, retail and publishing.

Marnie is a proven leader.

In her words:

'Luxury is inherently disruptive. Luxury brands lead customers; they don’t follow customers. I have always loved this space because luxury brands must imagine a future of their own creation; they cannot conform to one. Often they must break what is not broken; they cannot risk the complacency of simply protecting the status quo. There are subtleties and nuances in luxury brands that require you to be a bit more discerning. But like any brand, intimate understanding, appreciation and respect, is essential to great account management.' -via The Communications Council

Marnie wears our signature leather trapunto embroidery dress.

From April 9th through May 2018, get to know some beautiful and inspirational women as we launch and reveal the stunning portraits shot by photographer Emmanuel André for our new women's online platform for disruptive women of style, "Mimi + Me".
