Global Director, Talent Development, TBWA
Lives in Brooklyn, NY
Rhonda is Rich.
When you interact with people, an energy exchange is taking place. Some people's energy feels light, and others feel heavy. Rhonda feels happy and authentic, and because those are two of the strongest attributes to bring abundance into your experience here on earth, I’d say she’s pretty rich in life.
Rhonda’s amazing beauty resonates from within.
She hails from Guyana, South America and calls New York City her home. After doing a tour of duty in the dot-com era, Rhonda landed at TBWA in 2001 and discovered her passion for helping others to find and fulfill their mission. She’s responsible for driving TBWA’s training strategy aimed at ensuring key talent is retained, engaged and developed at every stage of their career.
She advocates individual growth plans, while focusing on a systematic and interactive learning approach to continually replenish TBWA's talent. She’s responsible for the development and launch of the most recent addition to their learning suite — The Wright Academy, which specifically focuses on the young up-and-coming talent likely to be the big guns of the future.
When not tending to talent, she’s a nurturer; an avid gardener and rescuer of discarded furniture — giving them a whole new life and purpose.
Rhonda wears our satin and taffeta gown with hand embroidered swarovski crystals.
From April 9th through May 2018, get to know some beautiful and inspirational women as we launch and reveal the stunning portraits shot by photographer Emmanuel André for our new women's online platform for disruptive women of style, "Mimi + Me".
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Rhonda: Awesome! Everything is awesome, even when it’s not. I think I really have to find a new word.
How would you like to die?
Rhonda: Put me in a hammock, under a coconut tree. Just beautifully swinging back and forth in the breeze. Take me home!
What sound or noise do you love?
Rhonda: The sound of the waves crashing on the beach. I use it to sleep. I love moving water.
What sound or noise do you hate?
Rhonda: I hate honking horns. Hate it, hate it, hate it … yeah.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Rhonda: I have 2 great loves. My dog, my cocker spaniel, Sheeba. She made me a better person. She taught me love. And my other one love in my life, Michael.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Rhonda: I wish I could sing. I really like singing … but I really shouldn’t sing! (*smiles*)
