Akan fertility dolls, often referred to as "Akuaba" or "Akua'ba" dolls, are traditional wooden figurines crafted by the Akan people of Ghana, particularly the Ashanti and Fante ethnic groups. These dolls hold cultural and spiritual significance and are primarily associated with fertility and childbirth rituals.  Akuaba dolls are believed to possess spiritual energy and are commonly used in various rituals related to fertility, pregnancy, and childbirth. They are often carried by women who wish to conceive, or by pregnant women seeking a safe and healthy childbirth experience.
