About
OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our collections are inspired by the rich beauty rituals of Pre-Colonial Africa, from scarification to body piercings and body painting, forms of self-expression deeply rooted in identity, community, and artistry. We are especially drawn to scarification, a sacred practice where intricate patterns are etched into the skin to mark beauty, status, and heritage. To honor this tradition, we use trapunto embroidery, a technique that raises stitched motifs through padding on leather skins, creating sculptural surfaces that echo the depth and meaning of these ancestral designs. It’s our way of preserving and celebrating cultural memory through craft, telling stories that deserve to be seen, felt, and remembered.
